Different Maps for Each Device

A new map set for North America was just released. I generally only update once a year because of the time involved and not a lot of changes in my area. So, looking at Express, I see in the details that each one of my devices is listed to receive a different set of maps. They are all from 2022.20, just different subsets.

Navi 54, USA & Canada, 3.71 GB
Zumo 450, Canada & Border States, 1.28 GB
Zumo 550, Lower 49 NE, 1.76 GB
Zumo 590, Full Coverage North America, 6.55 GB

My Zumo devices all have SD cards installed. Could I download the US and Canada maps (3.71 GB) to the PC and also to the 54LM, and then use MapInstall to load that same map to each of the Zumo GPSs?

Is there any reason that I should load an extra 2.8 GB of maps to my PC if I am not going to use any maps south of the border?

No, as you won't have the unlock codes for the other devices. Do the full update first, then the rest which should be faster as the map files from the first device will already be on your PC.

For unlock codes, I have previously loaded the 54LM (device and computer), and then attached my other devices (450 and 550) to the computer. Then with Express, I would run the install map again, but computer only. This would create the unlock code for the device, and then I would run Mapinstall and load the map to the SD card. This was before I added the 590.
