Zumo User Forums

So I’ve just got a zumo and whacked in an sd card on a folder named mp3 but unit doesn’t recognise song tags. I’ve tried retagging but still unit says unknown artist,album etc. What am I missing??

So I finally figured it out, for anyone else going thorough same thing.
Zumo doesn't recognise later versions of id3, 2.4 needs to be downgrade to 2.3

I have the exact same issue, but I have no idea what ID3 is that you mention? Could you explain so I can try and fix my issue.
Okay I searched for ID3 on the web and now understand it a bit better, but still have no idea how to change the version, my MP3 files where created by iTunes and I don't see a way to get iTunes to use an older version of ID3 (Maybe installing an older version of iTunes might work, but I don't want to do that). Any other way to get to version 2.3 of ID3? Or is Garmin going to update their music player to recognize the later ID3 format?
