Explore Route to Trip Planner

OK, finally accepting the idea of using the Explore Sync now that I've figured out how to only show certain collections and separate my hiking stuff from my motorcycle stuff. It's nice that I can show a collection and have it display the waypoints that were added in BaseCamp - esp now that it seems that the Zumo XT can display the BaseCamp icon symbols as the actual symbol (fuel, restaurant, etc) and not just as a heart symbol...
The one thing that I can't seem to get it to do is take a route (Trip Plan) from Explore into Trip Planner. There just doesn't seem to be any way to import it into TP.
I will create a ride in BaseCamp, which usually includes a Trip Plan with the associated waypoints & via points, as well as a track. Export the ride via GPX and then import that into Explore via the Android Phone App (not the website Explore because that imports _everything_ as either tracks or routes depending on what you choose at time of import ) and then sync Explore on the Zumo XT via Drive (whew!!!).
The ride will show up as a Collection in Explore on the Zumo XT, can display the waypoints and the track (very important for off-road riding!). You can also initiate riding the route from Explore but it doesn't act the same as if I were to import the Trip Plan into Trip Planner via sharing in Drive. AAAAARRRRGGGGG!!!! Try to import the Trip into TP but the Trip doesn't appear as an item when you click on Import in Trip Planner!!!
How to get a route (Trip) from Explore into Trip Planner???
