Postcode problems

I’ve recently acquired a secondhand 660 for use on my Norton Commando. I have just returned from a trip to the Alps which highlighted the following problem.
I wanted to find an address in Düsseldorf in Germany. Firstly when I selected Germany it would not recognise Düsseldorf. This is the English and German spelling of the city. I then checked the list of all the German towns beginning with D. There are a lot of them but no Düsseldorf in the list.
Given the above was not working I tried installing the postcode - 40227. As soon as I punched in the 4 the screen offered me postcode 41836 with no other options other than to go back and punch in my postcode with the same result.
I would add that selecting both towns and postcodes worked fine when my 660 was used for France, Switzerland, Italy, Holland and Belgium.
Any assistance/advice in resolving this issue much appreciated - thanks

Would help to know which map you have installed? I have no issues using citynames etc in Germany using the latest Garmin CN EU map

I see your problem
@Norboy I can't enter the country "Germany" to change from England for an address/postcode search.
I can enter all other countries but not Germany! If you go to "Cities" you can find Dusseldorf but not able to enter Germany weird!!
@sussamb my installed map is CN EU 2022.1
EDIT:-My usual way of finding places and planning routes is do everything on Basecamp and transfer to 660.

Weird. I'm on 2023.10 but not on a 660, and no issue finding Dusseldorf. So its either a map issue with 2022.10 or a software issue on the 660.

I've got 2023.10 available, just not updated yet.
The odd thing with the 660 (which is on latest software), it won't let you put in Germany in "Where to" Address selection! I can find Dusseldorf under Cities?? I'll do a map update see if that changes anything.

@kernowing
I can do both, change country to Germany and then enter Dusseldorf or do a Where to, Towns and then enter Dusseldorf.
Will be interesting to see what happens when you update your map.

1st, I didn't get the option to load all of Europe 2023.10 via Express. I wonder why is there no option to load partly to SD card?
I used Mapinstall and selected the areas relevant to me which have now installed to 660.
Map info on 660 is CN EU NT 2023.10 Basic 3D
CN EU NT 2022.10 [1] Andorra etc etc
CN EU NT 2023.10 [1] Spain & Portugal
@Norboy I'm still not having much luck loading a post code for Dusseldorf!

That may be the issue. I'm using the NTU map so possibly an issue with the NT map?

As to the maps on my 660 they are shown as
CN Europe NT 2022.10 Basic 3D
CN Europe NT 2013.10
(1) INNSBRUCK, OSTERREICH,CHARLEROI, BELGIE, GENT
CN Europe NT 2022.10
(1) UK & Ireland
My wife believed she updated the satnav to latest UK, Ireland and EU when she attempted the latest download before our recent trip. We are newbies but the above on reflection does look a slightly motley connection.
For what it’s worth our 660 is believed to be about 12 years old.
Any advice/recommendations appreciated.

Looks like at some point you've installed a part map, the 2013.10 one and then the recent UK one, 2022.10. I suspect the former map doesn't include Germany, hence the issue with Dusseldorf. You can check all this using JaVaWa's Device Manager
https://www.javawa.nl/jdm_en.html
If I'm right you should be able to run Express again and choose the Change map option if you're entitled to the full EU map.
