Gas range warning pops up too much

I was on a long route (past gas range) and every minute or so I'd get a popup "Distance exceeds gas range, search for gas stops?" I'd click no, and a minute later the same message would appear. After clicking no about 10 times the messages finally stopped appearing.

Is there a way to prevent those warnings from appearing? I've read the manual but didn't see anything promising.

I just turned fuel tracking totally off as it was just too annoying I just work on 250 miles and plan for fuel and stopping for the day

I think its "Apps" - "Fuel Settings" - and then "Unspecify" the distance per tank.

Me too, although my planning is based on 150 miles.

Same, I just use the tripmeters instead. Plus my gas gauge flashes once it reaches 'reserve'.

I don't use it - I did on the 660 for a while, but it was not very accurate and not as useful as I thought it might be. And having to remember to reset it at each fill up was a pain. Although I think it recognised when you had stopped for fuel. Maybe that is my bad memory, or you had to set it as a destination.

Does the XT recognise when you stop at a petrol station and reset the fuel tank to full ?

It pops up a message "Possible fuel stop detected, reset fuel range?"
