Hi all.
Problem with Zumo XT. It has been working fine until now. (Charging / taking power from the bike).
It will charge on USB cable from computer.
It will charge with USB cable from a wall socket (USB and / or adaptor).
I don't get the charging symbol on the Zumo screen when I put it onto the cradle on the bike.
I've put a multimeter on the AUX power socket where I pick up the cable feed 12.4 volts✓
I've put a multimeter on the AUX power socket where I pick up the cable feed 5.3 volts✓(within spec).
The power is getting to the Zumo rear terminals.
Anyone else experienced this?
Cheers.

Hi and welcome.

How old is the XT charging lead?

You can see what the battery etc is doing by pressing on the battery symbol for a few seconds.

Hi thanks for the reply.
I only bought the unit 3/12/21 so it's only just 2 years old to me, don't know when it was actually made??

The contacts on the mount are spring loaded. Tiny amounts of dirt can keep them from protruding far enough to reach the contacts on the back of the XT. Some contact cleaner will usually get the dirt out and let them move freely.

Your mount is about the same generation as mine. When I assembled mine I had concerns about how minimally the contacts seemed to protrude. A little research turned up a trick of adding a piece a foam to the back of the cord to add some forward pressure. I did it on mine and saw more protrusion. I did it on initial installation so can't say whether it "fixed" anything. I made me feel more comfortable though. There is a photo of it in this discussion: viewtopic.php?p=12881&hilit=foam#p12881
