I want to use my Garmin Zumo XT on my e-bike. I will connect it to an Anker PowerCore III 10K Model A1247 power bank. The capacity is 10000mAh 3.7 Vdc/37W.

How much longer can I use my Garmin Zumo XT when connected to the Anker power bank?

I can't answer your question but one thing there seems to be a lot of agreement about is that the usb cable jack on the XT is one of its physical weak points. My first XT was replaced under warranty because of a failed jack. I don't know what kind of riding you do on your e-bike but I know that jack won't stand up to much abruptness and vibration. Also, I had 2.4v usb out in my car and the XT would not charge using the Garmin cable. I had to replace it with a 'power only' cable. I never determined the details but researched it enough to learn that the XT would not charge at a rate faster than depletion when using a combined data/power cable.

The only measurements I have made were the current draw for the XT while connected to a 13.6 VDC power supply. The other numbers are calculated and do not reflect power loss in the converter box (which provides 5.2 VDC).

Code: Select all

Brightness	Amps@13.6V	Watts	Amps@5V
 20% 0.42 5.712	1.142
 50% 0.43 5.848	1.170
 70% 0.45 6.120	1.244
 80% 0.48 6.528	1.306
 90% 0.52 7.072	1.141
100% 0.58 7.888	1.578
If I remember my electrical theory correctly, 10,000 mAh = 10 Ah, so at 70% brightness, 10Ah/6.120A= 1.6 hours.
The the converter box will not be used, but I suspect that real-world results will still be less than the theoretical maximum.
