However when I link up on MESH with friends satnav all but stops coming through on headset. When I ride off out of range all working again.
Thoughts?
Thanks in advance

MESH is the DMC communciation system - is that correct ?
I find that DMC works perfectly on my Packtalk Edge - I pair with my pillion using that and music from the XT comes through very well.
I didn't have a great deal of success with BT connecting automatically when the units were turned on, and once I had used the phone app to set up both Edges, I broke the connection between phone and Edge.
I paired the XT as a second phone - not as a satnav.
Hope that is relevant - the Edge and the Bold seem to be very similar, and they can be part of the same DMC group

I wonder if the Edge can give priority to intercom communications. I have the same Cardo Packtalk as @jfheath and one of its issues is that the XT voice navigation always overrode the intercom even though the Packtalk has a setting that is supposed to give priority to the intercom. I only play music with riding solo so don't know how intercom affected music. The interruptions in conversations was annoying enough that I now turn off voice navigation whenever riding with DMC connected pillion or fellow riders. Maybe the Edge reversed that problem, or perhaps the XT2 no longer overrides the intercom. All I can suggest is to dig into the configuration options for each device for their Priority options, if any. I suspect that you have already done this though.

My Pillion doesn't hear anything from the satnav. I know I saw the option to do that, but I didn't want to. My satnav is paired as a second phone.
(Not that there is a first phone paired but it keeps it free for when I need to use the app to change settings.)
I wrote up how I set it up if you are interested @Peobody ?

Mine doesn't either, unless I enable that option. My problem is that voice navigation from the XT interrupts intercom conversations and then is very slow to release that override (several seconds) .

IIRC, it is the same way I have mine set up. I will seek it out to be sure though. Does your XT voice nav instructions not interrupt intercom?

I don't know. I haven't noticed it - but I haven't been looking either. It'll be a while before we are both out on the bike now. I'll see if I can check it at my desk.

@jfheath, I just reviewed your pdf on this. It reminded me that your Android phone contains BT options that allowed you to disable calls but allow audio for your Packtalk Edge. My iPhone doesn't doesn't have those options. I must break the BT connection between my iPhone and my Packtalk in order for things to function as they should, with the exception of the XT voice navigation overriding all other sound sources.

I dont have audio from my phone.
The phone is paired to the XT for phone calls and data / drive.
Any music I want comes from the XT mp3 player, but I rarely use it.
Two edges are connected together using DSM.
Rider edge is connected to the XT as a second phone by BT.
XT cuts music when phone call is in progress.
Ive not yet checked whether conversation reduces music. I doubt it.
