Am I reading that right in myGarmin.com?

I have owned my 660 for many years, and though I get a similar message about lack of memory (despite a memory card fitted), I get over it by downloading the latest maps, (currently Europe NT 2024.1) to my laptop, then use Mapinstall to load the maps onto my device.

Right, but you have to get to the option of downloading map only to computer. But I don't get there. GE Says up to date. only option is to redownload current map 2023.20

I was actually replying to your headline 'End of Life' showing that my 660 is still updating when new maps are available.

I don't know when end of life, no updates first appeared on mygarmin.com? Will be interesting to see if you get the next update. When new map available, come back to this thread and let me know if installs.

That statement has been around on Garmin pages for longer than I can remember. However as stated there are ways around the 'not enough space' issue. Why you can't simply download maps to your PC then transfer them to a memory card for your zumo to use I don't know. I'd call Garmin Product Support and ask.

You are second person to say that. But to download new map to computer, I thought you have to have a device connected that has map update available? I can install the maps currently on 665 to any computer. But I can't install new maps to computer if GE says 665 is up to date. Am I missing something? I know there used to be other methods of installing maps before GE, but didn't think those worked anymore.

Called Garmin. No live support for 665. Online only. Sent me link, but nothing relavent.

Hi @hammer I have a 660. Just loaded Express and it showed 2024.10 available for update. I got the usual choice of where to update the maps so I chose just the computer and set it going. Checked on Basecamp and that Mapset is already installed.
