Hi from Switzerland
my name is Williams and I'm based nearby Zurich, Switzerland. I am an "old school biker" since 1972 driving mostly 2-cylinders of different makes. Currently a Ducati 996 and a Ducati Multistrada V2; apart from these I own some "oldies" like a BSA 650 Golden Flash, a Norton Commando 850 and a Laverda 750SF.
I am using Garmin nav-equipment for a long time already, starting with the GPS V and the Quest II before switching to the zümo660 and now the zümoXT2.
Have safe rides! cheers

Greeting Williams, from the southeastern U.S. Welcome to the forum. I am a 4+ cylinder man, except for the bike I learned on which was my Mom's 250cc Honda Dream. That would have been around 1970. I don't know what year model that bike was but vividly remember Mom being the first in the family with a motorcycle license. Through my early twenties I was fortunate to have brothers with bikes so was able to ride regularly without having to own one. I moved away and was dry for about 10 yrs while life got in the way but finally got back in the saddle on an '83 Suzuki GS850 with full Windjammer fairing and strap-on saddlebags. That was followed by a '95 Kawasaki ZG1000, and then a '08 Honda GL1800. I still own the last two. The Honda gets the touring duty while the Kawasaki gets much of the 3hr afternoon ride duty.

See you on the forums!

Hi Williams, welcome to the Zumo forum. Quite a list of "Old school bikes" on your intro :)
My eye fell on the Norton 850 Commando. That was my 1st real tourer--I had a MK1 Roadster before buying a lovely MK3 Interstate. The first real tour was from England to Switzerland and Northern Italy in 1976. I have put on a bit of weight since then--both me and my present bike!!
