Canot Clear Zumo/XT Internal Memory

I have some routes and waypoints that seem to be "trapped" in my Zume/XT internal memory. Whenever I transfer Internal memory from the Zumo to Basecamp these items continue to reappear. One of these of course is 001.

On the Zumo/XT I have used Settings=>Device=>Reset=>Clear Travel History to no avail.

Also, with the Zumo/XT attached to the PC I have removed all the file and folders in the folder 'Internal Storage/GPX'.

I have spent countless hours trying to remove these 6 or 8 routes and waypoints to no avail. Is there anything else I can do to "fix" this problem?

Welcome @Pearson33

This is all detailed here:

app.php/ZXT-P29

Except - since I wrote this, the procedure for disconnecting from the Explore database has changed slightly. You have to un-install drive from your phone before resetting the Explore database - If you have Explore set up. Or you can just delete the troutes tracks and waypoints from Explore , and let the Zumo synch again - and then follow the instructions to delete what is left.

Thank you for your reply. I shall give your suggestions a try the next time I am back at the computer.

I, too, have owned a 550, 600 and now the XT. I used MapSource for many, many years before switching to Basecamp. While I have found it convenient and relatively easy to store all my waypoints on Explore, I cannot say the same about my many, many routes. Hence I continue to use BaseCamp to store my existing routes and for designing new routes.

I send routes directly from BaseCamp on my PC to an SD card in the Zumo. I then import routes into the XT internal memory from the SD card as I need to use them. When done I then delete the route from internal memory but still have access to it on the SD card.

I sync the XT with Explore to keep all my waypoints in order. I am extremely careful with waypoints as I have set up custom icons and categories for each waypoint in BaseCamp. Of course these do not transfer into Explore and so I have to manually setup the icons once the waypoints sync to Explore.

Again thank you so much for your response to my question about some routes and waypoints stuck in XT internal memory.
