Possibly a dim question but what's the difference between an "NT" map and an "NTU" map?
Thanks!
NT or NTU?
Re: NT or NTU?
NTU includes certain characters/alphabets not in the NT map, U stands for Unicode.
Unicode version can display cyrillic and some other languages characters and signs (like greek, polish, latvian etc)

Re: NT or NTU?
Not sure if this is correct or not but my Zumo550 seems to use the NT maps and the 395 uses the NTU maps. I have both sets of maps installed on Basecamp.
I can create a route on the NTU maps on Basecamp and use it on the 550 but it always recalculates because the same maps are not installed. Not caused me a problem so far tho'

Re: NT or NTU?
I've partly answered this elsewhere, but to amplify there are no 'free' NT maps unless you are talking about pirated ones, which we won't discuss on this site. CN maps from other devices are locked to the device, unless they were supplied on a card from Garmin in which case the card can be used in any device.

No. Not pirated maps.
