Drive app ignoring Smart Notification settigns

I think Garmin have broken something in the latest version of the Drive app. All my smart notifications are off and I have never received any. All of a sudden today I am getting email and message notifications on my Zumo XT.

I have tried setting these to on and then back off etc but nothing seems to work , It seems Drive is ignoring these settings .

My drive app is ver 4.26.24

Anyone else have this issue ?

Garmin say "This was actually a bug that should have been fixed in app version 4.26.25 released I think it was last night, can you try and update and see if that resolves the issue?"

Well I did that, but typical Garmin software its still broken

I'm on the latest update and this isn't happening on mine.

Is this issue with the iOS or or the Android System ?

Smart notifications for Android systems are turned on and off at the Drive App for the XT.
For iOS they are controlled on the Zumo screen under Bluetooth->Smartphone Services->Smart Notifications

There is an "Allow Notifications" option in iOS. I don't know whether this will affect transmission notifications to the XT if disabled. It is in Settings > Notifications > Drive > Allow Notifications. Mine is enabled. Notifications enabled in the XT work, provided Smart Notifications is connected to the phone. This is the unreliable part for me. Sometimes Smartphone Services and Smart Notifications automatically connect, sometimes just Smartphone Services connects, sometimes neither connect. Tapping their checkbox often triggers a connection but a re-pairing of the phone is sometimes needed.
