MacOS Sequoia and Basecamp - no bueno!

I'm having issues...

XT connected to my MacOS machine... Garmin Express will come up and connect just fine. If I run Android File Transfer it will ALSO come up and connect just fine - but running Basecamp... it never sees my device.

Security settings for Basecamp are set to "full disk access" allowed. I tried toggling that off and switching it to "removable volumes" like the setting for Garmin Express but it didn't seem to make any difference.

I'm almost to the point where I'm considering buying a cheap-as-hell Windows machine just so I can connect to and manage this device. All I'm trying to do is to pull my track logs from an 8-day trip I just took. Any great ideas, anyone? I have read the "workaround" fixes for getting Express to connect, but in my case Express works just fine - it's only Basecamp that is driving me bonkers.

..and as soon as I posted this... 6th time's the charm, it popped up and sees everything. Good grief.

I'm no Mac user, so I cant help with that, but an alternative for getting the tracklogs could be:

Open a track, hit the spanner, and then share.

A) To your SD card. Next get the SD Card in your Mac. That should work.
B) To the Garmin Drive App. Be sure to have the Garmin Drive App open first. When the tracklog arrives at Garmin Drive, you can choose whatever you like. Share to Email, Share to One Drive, etc.

Thanks for suggesting DRIVE. I'd completely forgotten that was an option. Next time I find myself stuck... I may give that a shot.

Just in case you didn’t know this, if Express is running in the background, the XT will not appear in Basecamp. Express has a check box to prevent this.

Yup, I know they can't both run at the same time. I'd run Express first just to see that it "sees" the XT, then I'd exit Express and run Basecamp with no luck. It all seems so sketchy, I wonder if someday it just plain won't work at all!
