zumo xt2 does not auto connect to galaxy s25

I have a samsung galaxy s24 ultra running the Garmin Tread app, paired with a zumo xt2.
With the tread app running on my phone, the zumo xt2 does not auto connect when it is turned on.
After I turn on the Zumo XT2, what I need to do is go into the phone settings on the device and click "Connect".
I'm trying to figure why it just doesn't reconnect on it's own, automatically.
Any comments/suggestions would be appreciated. Thx.

For what it is worth, my Samsung S22 reconnects to my XT2 automatically without issue. I have eliminated the Tread app from my setup entirely however.

I've had similar issues with this latest version of the Tread App (Version: 2.09.63). I had to disconnect and reconnect Bluetooth to get it to connect properly. They'll have to update the Tread App soon; we've been using this version since February.

In my experience, that is common when changing something BT related.
The solution has always been to break the connection and any knowledge of previous connections
AND prevent any other nearby BT device from connecting first
And then setting it up.
