Planning routes on mobile phone for zumo

I have been looking at ways to plan routes on a mobile phone and send them to the Garmin Zumo
Searching about everyone says there is no way possible unless you use basecamp and a computer! Well thats not strictly true and I am going to tell you how it can be done.
Firstly you need an app on your phone for planning the routes, I have used an app called Kurviger https://kurviger.de/ others may be available.
Then you need a way to transfer them to your Garmin Zumo from your phone which is via a micro SD card.
Then you need a way to transfer the route from your mobile phone to the micro SD card.
If your phone has a micro SD card slot then great but if its a bit of a pain to get the card in and out then I suggest buying a suitable adaptor for your phone.
I bought one of these. https://www.ebay.co.uk/i/283530948581?c ... pwQAvD_BwE
This is for my phone that has a type C usb port. Please check which you require.
You should familiarise yourself with the way Kurviger works and how to plan routes and also set your phone up so you know where it will store the GPX files before you go on a trip.
On your mobile phone use the inbuilt file manager app to create a folder where you will store the routes. I created a folder on the root of the internal memory called "Routes" I then created a shortcut on my phones desktop for easy access you don't have to do this it was just for ease for me.
Open Kurviger and in the bottom left corner there is a button with three lines (menu button) click this then on settings. Click on Application. Click on Export folder. Then using the file button at the bottom middle select the folder that you created earlier and click the green tick. You are now ready to create and export routes to this location.
Simply create your route then click the menu button >> Routing. Then click on Export. Then name the route if you so wish for ease Click on the drop down menu where it says Kurviger (*.kurviger) and select Garmin ShapingPoint GPX (*.gpx) I ticked route and waypoints then under additional waypoints select many and click OK. The route is now exported and in the folder.
Insert your micro SD card in to your phone or the card reader with the file management app on your phone simple copy the route(s) to the SD card and then insert the SD card in to the Zumo and import it
You will need to recalculate it on the Zumo once imported and I know it seems a long way but when you are out on a trip and something changes then this could work for you.
