Garmin cradle question

I have a Harley-Davidson Roadtech zumo gps satnav, which I think is a rebranded Garmin Zumo 660.

I will soon be selling my motorbike but leaving the garmin cradle and wiring in place.

Will I be able to buy another cradle to fit this zumo?

Are all Garmin cradles the same for all models?

From what I've seen, the bike mounts for a 660 are like rocking horse sh*t--fetching serious money. I'd be inclined to remove it before selling the Harley. Look on ebay for a 660 cradle, you'll see what I mean :o

OMG, I see what you mean. Can’t believe they’re so expensive. I thought they’d only be cheap.
Think I might reconsider and remove it.

Another option is to sell the bike with the cradle and the GPS and buy a Zumo XT for your next bike. I have a 660 and now 1,200 miles on the XT. I think the XT is a vast improvement.

Just had a look at the XT, they do look better, but they’re more expense and I’d only get the same for the bike wether or not the satnav was left on.

Source a Garmin Aera 660 mount for light aircraft and use a dremmel to remove the little plastic tag on the bottom centre of the mount. Then it will take your Garmin Zumo 660.

Andy, that’s a 4 year old thread. I’ve got an XT2 now. But thanks for the info which may be of use to someone else.
