Do you also have this problem? For me on 2 helmets.

After FW upgrade from 2.70 to 2.80 playback of navigation instructions does not work well along with listening to music on intercom Sena 20S, Sena SRL and all derivatives of Sena 20 (Sena 50 is working properly). Navigation instructions are in HFT mode and music in A2DP mode. There is an unpleasant sound when switching from A2DP to HFT. There is a crouch before each voice instruction. I tried all the settings and all the pairing combinations.

Mine does that too!!! It sucks. I have a Garmin 590LM and a SENA 20s. Latest firmware updates on both. It's a Sena issue. Lately our two Sena 20s's have been horrible. I can't talk to my husband on his bike. The GPS cuts us off. We CONSTANTLY lose intercom now.
I have reset and reset multiple times.
I'm ready to fling the 20s unit against the wall and then stomp on it....

Have you sent this video with sound to SENA Support?

I had the same problem with my 20s evo, I contacted Sena here in the UK & they talked me through the ideal settings. I am not with the unit at present, so I cant look up the settings, but I think I needed to enable nav assist on the Sena. It now works perfectly.
Maybe worth calling Sena in your market.

Don't have a Sena but I had some minor issues with my Cardo Packtalk Bold and after deleting the pairing and re-pairing the issues went away.

I downgraded the firmware as mentioned above and the problem disappeared.
That’s odd, but it worked.

Well, I thought the problem went away. It seemed to but then the other day, my husband could not hear me, but I could hear him.
We switched units on the headsets. The same thing happened. He could still not hear me, however he could still hear the gps prompt.
This leads me to believe that there may be something wrong in my microphone.

But this is a completely different problem and a completely different navigation device. I don't understand why you write that here.

^^^Sorry but the problem started and evolved into something else.
It started just like yours with that awful noise.
