Re: Tread Changes Exisiting Routes - Shaping Point Issues

@smfollen
It is promising, but as John mentioned, it needs testing. If you would like to be involved in testing, let me know. I can provide a link to a pre-release.

Re: What is this?

Decided long ago to disable traffic info completely, because the info is not accurate and it can make a complete mess of carefully created routes.

Re: Java (RUT) Question

Depends on how you send it to the other XT. - if you copy the modified .trip file to the 'internal storage' of the other XT, there is no need to run the program again. - If you send the trip from one XT to another XT using the 'Share' method. Yes, run it again. The method to verify is to check if ...

Re: Latest XT2/Tread software version

it seems that the XT2 device wants to prepare all the internally stored routes first before you see your XT in your Computer and that takes time. My experience is from the XT, not the XT2, but it might work the same. The startup time increases dramatically with the nr. of Saved Locations/Favourites ...

Re: Loading MRA Routes Garmin Zumo XT

jfheath Talking about links. I suddenly remembered something I noticed weeks ago, but forgot to mention. On this page: https://www.zumouserforums.co.uk/app.php/ZXT-P102 there is a link to a program that doesn't work. www.javawa.nl/triprepair.html And forgive me my nitpicking, but it's all about ...

Re: Loading MRA Routes Garmin Zumo XT

There is also a program that @FrankB created that flags an imported route as saved. Links to follow. John, I would aprreciate it very much if you would also mention TripManager. (Works only for Windows) https://www.zumouserforums.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=3150 Or the link containing all the options ...

Re: Odd MRA treatment of last shaping point

One more thing to consider. How does the map you use on your route-planner (BC or MRA etc) relate to the map you use on your device (XT)? Any discrepancies between those 2 can cause unwanted side-effects.

Re: Odd MRA treatment of last shaping point

I think it was because I located the shaping points using MRA and the iPad And possibly (subtle) differences in the Maps used. MRA vs BC vs XT The maps wouldn't make much difference in the designation of Via and Shaping points Agree. But they can cause Via/Shaping point to be 'off the road'. That ...

It is the best strategy I can think of.
