Re: Damaged Electrical Connector
The rubber was an excellent shout and has got rid of the of black spot. The two combined now mean that I’m not getting the loss of power anymore so thank you both for that. However the contact on the back is damaged. Should I be worried and look at repairing it or just leave it and see how it gets o ...

Re: Damaged Electrical Connector
Right so I’ve tried an electrical contact cleaner and from the first ride since it was fine. I’ll see how I get on and see if the black spot can be cleaned off but I’ve got a bad feeling it’s actually taken away some of the contact.
I’ll post a picture when I get a chance and let you see what I mean

Damaged Electrical Connector
My Zumo XT has developed an odd fault in that when I remove it from the cradle reinstall it it won’t always register it’s in the mount or if it does it when riding it will suddenly say that it’s lost electrical power and go to shut down. Normally moments later it will then regain power. Taking it out ...

Re: Java program to fix the routing behaviour of the XT.
No as with both the programs saying no modifications needed and file explorer not updating the time changed I just assumed that nothing has been done. Interestingly enough this time I imported them by plugging the Zumo in to the computer and saving them to the GPX folder. I’ve just sent them all a ...

Re: Java program to fix the routing behaviour of the XT.
I’ve just gone to use this Java program and web based one on some imported trips in preparation for an upcoming holiday and they have both said that all the trips need no modification, this is despite all the trips showing as imported and not saved. Anybody got any ideas?

Re: School Alert
Is this the constant binging the XT produces near schools? Mine does this and I’m in the UK. I have speeding alerts enabled along with speed camera alerts from scdb. I find it annoying but didn’t realise that people had found a way to turn it off. I just put it down to one of the many quirks of own ...
