Re: ZUMO XT pairing with N-Com B601X
Usually the XT should be paired as a phone instead of a GPS if you want to use the music player. That enables the A2DP Bluetooth profile which allows stereo music. Pairing as a GPS usually results in a mono Hands Free profile. Try clearing the pairings and start over.

Re: How do I set start point of simulation route?
Thanks. You've no idea how much time I've wasted while the GPS "travelled" to the area of the route I was interested in.
Now, if only Garmin would add FF, PAUSE, and REW controls to simulation mode...

Re: A couple of questions
I use the USB cable for transfers nearly all the time. I don't leave the XT on the bike so wireless route transfers and updates are not very useful to me. I do occasionally use Google to find and "share" a destination to my current route and Drive is convenient for that purpose. When I first ...

Re: Battery failure on newish uno XT
I had similar problems getting my just-out-of-the-box XT to start. Even charging with a 2.1A USB charger for an hour was not enough to get it booted up. I have a power supply that puts out 13.6V, so I hooked up the motorcycle mount and it started up right away. You might try connecting the XT to ...

Re: Why do you use a dedicated sat-nav
I used a cell phone for navigating routes on a bike for about a year before giving up. USB charging is unreliable and has twice destroyed the port on my phone. Wireless charging seldom works unless I remove the case, but when I do remove the case it charges until it overheats and stops charging ...

Re: when importing route prepared with Basecamp, XT recalculates
I think my XT says it is calculating every route it imports, but if I've created the route properly, it comes up with my intended route PLUS a route from my current location to the beginning of the route. Calculating does not necessarily mean changing.

Re: Newbie Hello - Zumo Charging Issue.
The contacts on the mount are spring loaded. Tiny amounts of dirt can keep them from protruding far enough to reach the contacts on the back of the XT. Some contact cleaner will usually get the dirt out and let them move freely.

Re: Routing Thru Alleys?
Shortest or fastest- both make screwy routes. I've always wanted a choice of NONE. I like the Google Maps method of showing multiple route options along with being able to select some other options (avoiding highways being most valuable). Wouldn't it be nice if Garmin popped up a screen for you to ...
