Ok, sorted.
It had to find all satellites. When it found its own position, the internet connection started working again.

Re: XT "cannot communicate with the update server...
I have the same exact issue. Tried two separate network: same result.
Was able to update maps (seems successfully despite an error message at the end) but still doesn't connect to the server and doesn't sync time.

Re: XT routing offroad despite avoidances
We are talking single tracks/green lanes in a couple of cases, so I’d be confident the mapping should have indicated them as such.

Re: XT routing offroad despite avoidances
I unchecked the Garmin topo maps, even though these are normally always checked alongside the CN ones.
I also have an OSM-based map (of the UK) in there, but it was already unchecked and it’s also non routable.

XT routing offroad despite avoidances
Hi all, apologies in advance for the "sparse" post, but I'm currently traveling on the bike and had no opportunity to take screenshots or "proofs". In short: my Zumo XT is mostly forcing to route me through unpaved/very minor roads through illogical/longer routes despite its settings. The XT is ...

Re: Anyone know what is included in "Basic" and "Most" Traffic Alerts?
Not sure there is any, at least with the last software update.
After disabling something like 30 traffic notifications in 5 miles, I first switched to "most" and then disabled the alerts, but my screen keeps getting overridden by the traffic alert panel.

Re: What ingenious way do you handle your XT when charging?
I don't charge it, but use it connected via USB sometimes.
I let it rest on the cable. It acts as a little stand.
If you place it on a desk gently, there is no risk of damage.

Re: Zumo XT: route miscalculation after update
"Most things in here don't react too well to bullets." Thanks jfheath . And, yes, the XT did a Crazy Ivan almost before I reached the entry point for the route. I don't have a picture of it, but I was curious about the triangle shape. Under certain circumstances - like if the closest point is behind ...
