Hi. I just bought the 396 and I can vouch that music can be store on the card. Once stored just choose MP3 instead of Bluetooth, Bluetooth is via your phone for example.

I just recently bought the Zumo 396 and since it is new I hope to find lots of info and share some. I am a long time Garmin user, still have my 450 that I still use.
