Re: Acquiring Satellites issue
Thanks again, but… Your first paragraph is quite telling but really doesn’t explain that when following a route (you know, the purple road), it suddenly goes doolally. (technical term!). I hear what you say about mapping errors, I have downloaded the latest via WiFi, but the 395 doesn’t suffer in the ...

Re: Acquiring Satellites issue
Thank you for your offer of help - it is appreciated. However, I have ensured that ‘U Turns’ has been set to ‘Avoid'. If I set a known location into the 'where to’, and it shows a route that I am familiar with ad have used several times, I expect the Sat Nav to take me down that route. The XT doesn’t ...

Re: Acquiring Satellites issue
That’s it. I have had enough of this crap Zumo XT. I went on a simple 30 minute ride, where I entered just one destination. I know the route very well, and just wanted to make sure the navigation of the zumo would agree, or be very close. Despite agreeing and showing the route and time to go, within ...

Re: Acquiring Satellites issue
Oh, that is not good! Reading the link, I am impressed by all the hard work going on here - thank you. Very unimpressed with Garmin however. I haven’t used any downloaded routes on the unit yet - just simple type in a destination and go. In saying that, the unit seemed tobehave itself having placed U ...

Re: Acquiring Satellites issue
Oh. Is there some kind of fix for this ‘RUT’?
If not, is it worth exchanging the XT for another one?
Thanks

Re: Acquiring Satellites issue
OK. Switched U-Turn to Avoid, hopefully that will solve that issue.
Garmin have been very helpful. They suggest that the White wire, normally not connected and is for Auto-Mode, should be connected to +12v which makes it Ignition controlled mode.
Will report back...

Re: Acquiring Satellites issue
Thanks MotoToph, Just what I didn’t want to hear!!!
I believe the U-turn issue is switchable in the Avoid options in Navigation app.

Acquiring Satellites issue
Hi. Recently replaced my 395 LM for a new XT as I wanted features such as weather and road updates. The unit is wired into a Thunderbox connector along with my other accessories, and as the engine is started and the battery has been checked by the Thunderbox, the sat nav, auxiliary lights and ...
