I did read a post (viewtopic.php?p=4755#p4755)
Apparently the user was running the XT via 12v and the only problem was the battery wouldn't charge.

I wouldn't try it just incase.

If it's sticking I would try a little lubrication. I am a fan of graphite powder.

Garmin Basecamp can import Google KMZ. files and export GPX files.

Thats how I do it.

Sorry can't help, but I am having the same problem on the iMac.

Unlocked okay on the XT but locked on the computer.

Have been in contact with Garmin and so far they haven't been able to help

I would have thought it would have reverse Polarity protection.

Have you tried pluggging it into a USB socket. Or a computer?

Worth a try.

I don't think it would work upside-down as the Zumo mount locks the release leaver on the Garmin Mount.

I am no expert but I thought the black box job was to drop the voltage to 5v?

If it has been removed and you have 12 v going into the XT that might be the problem.
