Re: Airline Travel After Covid
The only problem I've ever had taking a GPS on a flight was when security at Manchester Airport (U.K.) stopped me as the bag Xray had shown a potentially sharp object in the case of my old zumo 500, which I take with me in case the hire car doesn't have sat nav. It turned out it was the small right ...

Re: CN EU 2025.10 NTU
My update has failed several times, both with 7.2 and with 7.2.1 I'm reverting to an older version in the hope that works. I feel for anyone without the benefit of this forum! I too have had this issue on the last two map updates I've carried out, with two different PCs and with the latest version ...

Re: CN EU 2021.10
It uses the NTU maps, that's why I thought it would be there. Perhaps they need to tweak them for the BMW Navs, but I wouldn't have thought so.

Re: CN EU 2021.10
When I plugged my BMW Nav V in last weekend this update didn't show in Garmin Express (latest version), it said I was up to date with the map showing version 2020.30

Re: Temporary Files left on Hard Disk After Map Updates
Yes, that will remove the old installed Maps that you no longer need, but it does not remove the temporary files identified in my post.

Temporary Files left on Hard Disk After Map Updates
If you update the maps regularly, it is worth checking for, and deleting, temporary files on your computer (this applies to Windows PCs, I'm not sure what happens on MACs). When my laptop hard disk suddenly became too full to carry out Windows updates, I remembered reading the following on the VFR ...

Re: Navigator VI Power On Problems
In the first instance I would try cleaning the contacts both on the cradle and on the back of the SatNav, if you haven't done so already. Just clean them gently with a switch cleaner (isopropanol). Or just try cleaning with a dry cotton cloth.

Re: BMW Navigators
No, they did do an equivalent to the 550, but I think it was pretty much identical to the Garmin 550, there my be earlier models, I'm not sure.

BMW Navigators
Hi Stu,
Would it be possible to have a separate section for the BMW range of Navigators, e.g. the Nav IV, Nav V, and Nav VI?
I know they are similar to the Garmin models they are based on but, on the later models, they are getting features that are more unique to BMW.
Cheers

Thanks Stu, it's great that someone has picked up the baton to allow the Zumo forums to continue.
