Re: Pairing JBL Cruise to XT

BT devices use "profiles" to connect to one another. Many devices are capable of multiple profiles, the XT is one of those. To me it sounds like your speakers use a profile the XT is not happy with for headset pairing. Assuming you managed to put the speakers and the XT in pairing mode at the same ...

Re: Zumo XT handlebar remote

You are out of luck I'm afraid. You need to go to a Nav V or VI to get any handlebar interaction. The XT is not a BMW compatible model, nor does it have any potential to connect to anything but power, at least with the current 2 pin cable.

Re: Zumo XT cutting off intercom

Having the same issue, yes, fix, not so much. This was much worse before, a few firmware upgrades prior. The XT was interrupting intercom with the warning noises for speed reductions, for example, not just guiding instructions. The only solution was/is to mute the XT. Looking forward to a possible ...

Re: Commentary on XT v6.10 software

LOL... I can see some funny stuff playing out now :D I don't know if anyone ever tried to get two headsets connected to a Zumo. I suspect it would only have "room" for one. You should be able to reproduce a text messages on the Zumo screen if you have someone text you while the Zumo is on and ...

Re: Commentary on XT v6.10 software

The message popup was for reading the text on the XT screen. If you are stationary, you can tap it and it will show you the entire message. If your speed is more than zero, you have to "confirm" that it is your pillion reading the message, not you. Same as the car GPS units, except these use ...

Re: Smartphone Notifications

The settings are on the XT as to what should be allowed to show on the screen. I don't have mine handy to tell you the exact location, but I just went through that the other day. You can choose between calls, missed calls, text messages, email etc. to be notified for.

Re: XT Questions

Personally, I prefer technology to work all of the time. Well, it all depends how you use the system, really. For one, I never use spoken directions. Used to, when I had the 595, but the primary reason for that was the TPMS system, not the guidance. But Sena in association with Garmin put me off ...

Re: XT Questions

Pretty much everything is Bluetooth. The XT only has a 2 pin power wire to it. The back of the unit has 5 pins however, but no one knows what the other 3 pins are for. Other then that, there is only the USB connection for charging and file management. The XT has a built in speaker that supposed to ...

Re: XT mount accidentally unlocking during ride

I can see how that idea may cause undue anxiety, but other than one or two reports about the first release mount supposedly loosing the XT, no one has complained of this happening. When I click mine in, I try to pull it away from the mount to check. No issues. There is apparently a rubber web that ...
