Roughly every third time I start up I get a screen asking me if I want to share data with Garmin.
I have turned off device data Sharing in the Settings menu but it still happens.
How do I stop it completely?

That takes up a lot of the screen, doesn't it. The old Zumos had a narrow bar along the bottom.

My old Zumo had the ability to change the dashboard on the bottom of the display in order to show more than just the current speed on the left and one other thing on the right. I like to see arrival time, current time and altitude.
Can't find a way of doing that on my 396. Am I missing something?

Has anyone got their 396 and Mapsource to talk to each other.
I know you can go via Basecamp, but if I can avoid that extra step .........

Can you change it between car mode and bike mode? Would it make any difference?
