Simultaneous USB and Mount Power?
I have read that a computer's USB port may not be able to supply sufficient current to keep a turned on XT from discharging the internal battery over a long period. I am contemplating having a powered mount on my desktop next to the PC to supply the XT with power. If the XT is connected as well to ...

Are you saying that it can't be done via USB? If so then another reason I would avoid.Oop North John wrote:Updating its supplied mapping is via its built in Wi-Fi.RadioFlyer wrote: ↑Sat Mar 07, 2020 9:14 pm No mention of the USB being USB 3 which is really too bad given how long it takes to load maps.

...A question - how do you duplicate your route? Sent from my SM-T813 using Tapatalk @RadioFlyer, Bear in mind that I am on a Windows machine. A Mac might be different. Re: 660 locks when asking for Route Preview
I have never tried anything but Mapsource and Basecamp, except for a brief trial of Tyre. I didn't care for Tyre. This was long ago and IIRC I was running it in Linux. It and programs like Trips and Streets are probably quite different from what I remember. People kvetch about Basecamp something ...

Re: Does the 595 Zumo lady take priority over PackTalk intercom

Re: Crash while routing
FWIW I have been using Mapsource for well over a decade without issues but when I tried with the new 2019.2 it started crashing and I caved in and started using Basecamp. Windows 10.

Garmin 276C/276Cx Sub-forum?
The venerable Garmin 276C and the current 276Cx have a certain following amongst motorcyclists. These models have a lot in common with the Zumos.
Perhaps some consideration could be given to creating a Sub-forum for them?
