Re: Issues..
You can only have 30 waypoints (announcing) in a route but 125 shaping points (non-announcing) in between each one. When you go above 30 your routes gets broken down into the number of sections to comply with the 30 max waypoints. Double click on your route in basecamp and you will see your routes ...

Re: Issues..
you mentioned using the center of the road as your shaping point. Favor the outside edge of your travel lane. I have found that helps with the reversals.

Re: Garmin zumo xt crashes basecamp
I found this answer on the garmin site. It was attributed to someone on this forum. On the XT go to the POI file and delete the cyclops file. It solved my basecamp crashing. Interesting thing is I have access to 2 XT's. One had the problem the other didn't.

Re: Zumo 595 thoughts after 1500km (1000 mile tour)
JFheath, thanks for the reply. When I said why have both I was referring to the skip function on the 595. It gives the choice of skipping a via point or a shaping point. Since it will skip shaping points automatically why is that option there which adds a keystroke while you are riding. You only ...

Re: Zumo 595 thoughts after 1500km (1000 mile tour)
Thanks sussamb and mzeist for showing me where the "skip tool" is located in the 595. That's a big help. I had contacted garmin asking about a skip tool and there reply was there was none on the 595 and you could not skip a waypoint. You could drive around shaping points but you had no option but to ...

Re: WAYPOINTS
If you save the waypoints that may be related to the area of your trip as favorites in your internal memory they will show up as hearts on your screen as you get near them. The ability to see them depends on your zoom level.

Re: Zumo 595 thoughts after 1500km (1000 mile tour)
Recently completed a weeks riding with a new 595lm. I used to a 590lm in the past. The screen on the 595 is basically unreadable in sunlight. I tried multiple themes which helped om my 590 but nothing I did made the contrast any better in the sun. In the shade it was alright. Has any else had this ...
