Re: Hi All
New to the Garmin Zumo XT. Have had a 395lm for about 5 years. Just mounted both on new motorcycles. Not too difficult, but puzzled about my new Zumo XT. Seems to have a mind of its own. Nothing wrong with it, but not sure it is charging off the motorcycle battery. When I turn it off with the button on the back, sometimes I can turn it back on and sometimes to just stays blank? Tested it in the car and it worked off the lighter. Then I charged it on the computer and it works. I worked off the motorcycle battery for a day and then not. Everything else tied to the battery is working. Any tips.

Re: Hi All
Welcome to the forums.
With your XT in the bike cradle, the XT should switch itself on when it receives power from the battery.
Does it do that ?
If not test the voltage on the contacts of the cradle - make sure that you are getting power at the two pins. Mine shows 5.21v dc.
If not, check your in-line fuse and your connections to the bike power. If it comes from a fused circuit on the bike, check that fuse as well.
Then its a phone call to Garmin.
