Does anyone have a subscription and which plan did you go with? I already have traffic via a GTM-20 cable. Looking for weather

I am not sure of the question you are asking.

I have a Zumo 550 (along with two other Garmin GPSs). When I first got 550 I transferred my XM Radio Subscription to the new device (the Garmin 550).

So, I also have access to XM Radio (now Sirius XM radio) on my 665 GPS and my wife's Forester.

The 665 and the 550 both provide weather and traffic information. (Well the 550 not really "weather").

So, to see what I have for a subscription, I logged into Sirius XM for the first time in a few years. The subscriptions are entitled Music & Entertainment + Nav Traffic and Nav Weather.

Not being nosey, but approx whats your monthly or did you go by year. My issue is I very rarely listen to music when I drive let alone on my bike. I'm trying to decide if a subscription is worth it. siris dropped from eight channel to four for traffic. None in my area.i can get better info with the traffic receiver cable I already have. Weather is really all I'm looking for and now I have NOAA Clime Pro on my phone, I may not even need that.

I would have to look it up but it's probably $100 plus per year. Plus an additional $ for the two additional "vehicles".

The rest of the story. My first GPS was a Magellan GPS in 2004 or so. It just shows you were you were and a map. When I got a Garmin 6???? it was suppose allow me to play MP3 files (music) so I could listen to music as I traveled instead of wind noise (riding a 2003 valkyrie). But it would not play the MP3 files and Garmin could not really help so I purchase an XM antenna and the "thing" began.

Music, books (or use to be books) and sports. Only real issue is I sort of limit my listening to the Y2K channel. No more free books on the thing.

Also, once I got the Wing I shifted back to using MP3 files since the random thing worked pretty good and then books from Audible (now Amazon).

Is it worth the money I pay? I don't really know. I can afford it and it provides an option to "normal" stuff to listen to.

Oh, I use earbuds (right now from Big Ear but I also like the EAR Inc ones). No Bluetooth, just wires.

Plus, no advertisements and it is almost always "available". Sometime block by terrain and the "music" channels (well Y2K ) now have people talking.

Great insight! Thanks! I got the XM antenna used for the cost of shipping so I may try the bottom tier subscription to see if I like it before upgrading. I like your bike choices! I had a 98 Valk, then a 98 Wing SE. Now im on a BMW R1150RT!

I'm a retired ASE master auto tech, and did a LOT of mods to the Valk. Best was installing a belly tank. Designed and sold by a guy in Moses Lake WA. It gives you an extra 3.5 gals of fuel, fully automatic and aesthetically invisible!
