Cant unlock maps message

Hello Guys,

Just tried to update European maps on a 390LM

The download via basecamp looked to have went ok, however there is a message on device saying CANT UNLOCK MAPS

Any got any ideas?

Just noticed that there is a further message saying memory is full.

The device memory is nearing its limit but there is also a 30GB memory card that has hardly been used.

Will the device not do an update onto the memory card?, must it update onto internal memory?

Can i delete stuff in internal memory to create space?

I wouldn't delete anything without first making copies of folders and their content.

But Language files, unwanted themes, keyboard files and possibly the manual will all release a bit of space to prevent it from having zero free space. Also screenshots. Some old maps may be lingering. You can use Basecamp with the unit plugged in to find out the name of the file that relates to a particular map.
Have owned Zumo 550, 660 == Now have Zumo XT2, XT, 595, 590, Headache
Use Basecamp (mainly), MyRouteApp (sometimes), Competent with Tread for XT2, Can use Explore for XT - but it offers nothing that I want !

So....it looks like City Navigator Europe NTU 2023.2 has loaded onto my device AND the device SD card, it is also loaded onto my PC.

However.....on my Zumo I still get the CANT UNLOCK MAPS message

On my PC when selecting map Europe NTU 2023.2 no detail is available on zoom in.

Looks like both maps are locked.

I have re-installed Garmin Express with latest version, and my device has lifetime maps?

anybody?

Do a map reinstall, if that doesn't work you will need to contact Product Support. Unlikely you have a double installation on your device, the EU map though comes in 2 parts, so you may have one part on the device and the other on your card, that is normal.

I have tried map re-install a few times but no difference.
I have emailed Garmin support and will update on here with their reply.

a few people are having the same issue including me

I put a new MicroSD card in and the "cant unlock maps" went away but now I have just CN Southern Europe maps
