I know the power consumption is not listed, I checked the user manual and the interweb myself, I just wondered if anyone had actually measured it for themselves, I might if I get a chance and if I do I will post the results.

I have a mains charger that shows amps supplied, and with my XT on, it was showing 1.6 amps being used through the USB connection. I'd hazard a guess that the bike mount will take a similar amount.

It's a long time that it was explained at school, but to me it makes sense. (0,4 watts difference I neglect)

At 12 V (Battery) it draws 0,7 Amps = 8,4 Watt
At 5 V (USB) it draws 1.6 Amps = 8 Watt

Voltage x Amps = Watts

Garmin Zumo XT Power Draw

Post by Jim1348 »

I want to power my Garmin Zumo XT using an Anker power bank. Since it draws 1.6 amps, can I use any Anker power bank that has the blue USB 3.0 port?
