Display and other weird things going on, URGENT Zumo needed in 1 1/2 weeks!

Hi all, I last used my Zumo XT a month or two back and it appeared the battery inside had drained. When I plugged it in, it started doing all sorts of weird things including the display showing all those lines, worse still, the display is stuck at 40% and even if I drag the slider to 100%, nothing changes.
Also, it seems to behave very strangely on Garmin Express, sometimes it can be found, other times not.
I somehow managed to find some sort of bootloader screen that appears to hace a recovery option (see second photo) how do I get that back again?
Is it bricked? I'm leaving on 4 week trip in week and a half and need it to navigate.

A common situation is failing to turn the XT all the way off before putting it away. This will drain the battery as it is in sleep mode, not powered off. If this is what happened, you need to fully charge the battery before attempting any other fix.

When you're charging it, is it with a charger that gives out a couple of amps?

I normally wait for the red 'off' button, but coulkd be mistaken.
Yes, a couple of amps, and also on the bike itself (I wired the connector straight to battery) as some have said that fixes things.
Battery is about 85% charged and it still shows streaks, apart from seeming to work ok

I just found out that I bought it in July 2021, having a two year guarantee means it's going back to Sportsbikeshop, but now I have to buy another as I won't get it back until after my trip. The XT2 beckons.

Thanks, tried that, there's just a fault with the screen.
It went back, now have a XT2, what a nightmare, it's nothing like the XT in terms of usability-so much more complicated.
