Hello from Big D (Texas, that is)

Post by DFWKEN »

Long long time Garmin user. Started with the 550 over 10 years ago. It was good, but the 665 looked much better. So I upgraded as soon as released. Actually, pre-purchased and waited. Loved it. Now it's for sale. (I actually have two of them).

Updated to the 595LM a month ago. Getting used to it. Like that everything is an app. Easy to use, works well.

I waited so long to buy the 595 because it didn't have XM radio. But my Harley radio does. So now, I route my Harley radio output to the 595 audio input. Then, I route the 595 output to a Bluetooth transmitter and have my PackTalk Bold paired to the transmitter.

And this is why I'm here. I'm going to ask a question in the general 595 forum.

Welcome to Zumo User Forum Ken.
I'll be interested to hear your views on the "upgrade" from Z665 to Z595, I'm considering a change from my 660 some time in the future.

Welcome from the Houston area. I have a 660 and will also be interested in your thoughts about upgrading to a 595.

Sorry to hijack this thread - I promise to post my own one.

I am about to go on a 1500km (almost 1000 miles) journey. I will be relying on the 595 to get me there, back with fuel stops along the way.

I will post my thoughts, as soon as I get a chance.

Big D, if I post my thoughts before you, please feel free to contribute :D
