Cannot install an OSM map on Zumo XT

Hello,

I tried to install an OSM map on my Zumo XT, but I get the message 'No unlocked maps found for this device'.

I had a Zumo 595 and it did manage to install the OSM maps on it.

When I right-click on the relevant OSM map in Basecamp under Zumo XT, I get a message in Mapsinstall: 'No unlocked maps found for this device. I downloaded the Garmin OSM (latin1) from garmin3.bbbike.org.

Does anyone have an idea what the solution is?

Welcome to the forums.

I have a UK osm map that installs on my XT, but it came from a now defunct site that created the necessary files for installation on both Basecamp and the Zumo. I've not used any other OSM maps since loading that. Someone will be along soon to help, no doubt.

garmin3.bbbike.org supplies the map in a .zip file containing a file named gmapsupp.img. If you only have this one map, you can simply copy gmapsupp.img to Internal Storage\Map or to Memory Card\Map on your XT. If you have more than one extra map you should rename the file first (keeping the .img extension) which will prevent overwriting an existing map and will simplify deleting a single map later.

You might also want to look at other OSM versions of the map from the sites at https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/OSM ... n/Download. I've found differences in "readability" because of the coloring and level of detail.

I found out that I had to put the OSM on an sd card, although I had enough GB on my internal storage.
