Nice side by side comparison between XT and XT2

Post by jfheath »

I've put this YouTube link from DanDan the Photoman on the XT forum because it is probably only of use to someone wanting to change from the XT.

It doesn't answer a lot of the questions that I would have, but it is nice to see the XT2 in operation side by side with the XT.
Have owned Zumo 550, 660 == Now have Zumo XT2, XT, 595, 590, Headache
Use Basecamp (mainly), MyRouteApp (sometimes), Competent with Tread for XT2, Can use Explore for XT - but it offers nothing that I want !

It's very rarely that I come across a video that covers things in as much detail and with as much clarity as this one.

All credits to "DanDan the Photoman" who has a Youtube channel - and the first one ever that I have subscribed to as a result of coming across this.

Very good review. I can't figure out why it would have no shortest route option..

Does the XT2 Weather radar animation work while moving? (It used to on the XT but was disabled by Garmin in an update.)

Weather animation while rolling would be a pleasant surprise, but I'd wager that if it was lawyers who made them turn it off on the XT, there's no way it would be enabled on the XT2. I'd LOVE to be wrong, though!
