Fitted garmin handlebar mount but unit doesn't seem to be charging, no charging icon on battery although I do when using USB wire, I have opened the menu by pressing battery icon and it says the is mount there, I have checked the output on the mount and there 5.3 volts there I have removed cable from mount and held it against the uni

The bike mount on these units has two sprung contacts. Sometimes they stick. Try lubing them with a bit of WD40 and pushing them in and out. Once they are moving again the unit should charge.

In the photo graph it says its mounted, I have remove lead from cradle and put it against satnav but its supposed to power up when in cradle rather than physicaly switch on and no lightning flash in the battery icon
