Soldering bullet plugs is next

soon be time to install the XT cradle wiring to my bike, kind of still cold in the garage but I might have to wear more clothing to keep warm lol, I'm thinking of soldering a couple bullet plugs on the wires and then plug into the always-on accessory leads in the headlight bucket, already installed a ram ball mount onto the center of handlebars, I need to find my soldering iron first, it's somewhere buried in the garage cabinet under tons of stuff I never throw out lol

I think I'm ok to connect XT 12v cable directly to the bike battery.

I have my XT cradle wired directly to the battery as well. Some prefer it that way, others don't. No biggie either way. While there I also installed a battery tender lead for when the bike sits for an extended period.

Do I use 1% or 99% ?

As I've said before, the parasitic draw of the XT mount is a very tiny fraction of what your bike's clock, computer and perhaps other accessories draw with the key off.

I got the 2 bullet plugs soldered on the XT cable, added heat-shrinks to it, now waiting for warmer weather to install the cable inside the headlight bucket, I should be getting my XT carrying case on Tuesday
