Hello all,

I am a new Zumo XT user, and just has to learn using this device with Basecamp, which also is new to me.
Normally using FreeBSD and QMapShack with bicycle GPS, but with Garmin Zumo XT will I need Windows and Basecamp... new learning phase

Welcome Harry.

You don't have to use Basecamp - but it is the best tool for the job in my opinion.

Install Basecamp
Install Garmin Express
Use express to install the same maps on the computer as the ones on your XT

Dont have Express running at the same time as Basecamp.

Ask if you need help.
