Hi.
I have a big problem,I am desperate.
On my windows 10 PC I have installed the latest map update,City_Navigator_Europe_NTU_2022_20.gmap. The installation folder is C:\ProgramData\GARMIN\Maps. Until yesterday basecamp has always worked well. I had a problem with garmin express this morning, I had to uninstall it and clean up the windows registry with a software,geek.exe.
After this I opened basecamp and there are only global maps.I uninstalled and reinstalled Basecamp, reinstalled garmin express, did a system restore. None of this worked. I tried to reinstall the maps on my PC using BMW Navigator VI. But at 50% it crashes with red alert. I don't know what I can do.
If I use the maps on my Zumo XT, internal storage, it is very complicated.

I had the same problem.
I deleted CN maps from PC then
connected my Zumo and ran Garmin Express then I think its manage Maps/Options/ install on PC
or something similar, restart PC and all was sorted.

Unfortunately I have the same problem. I uninstalled old versions of NTU maps using Geek.Damn Geek . The Windows installer/uninstaller does not allow this. I uninstalled and then installed Garmin Express, Basecamp and the NTU 2025.10 map. Now in Basecamp I have only NTU 2025.10 and global maps. I lost all NT maps for my 660.
In C/ ProgrammData/Garmin/Maps there is a folder called RMU/EU with all the NTU files. Large 4-5 GB. In ProgrammData/Garmin/Maps there are the City_Navigator_Europe_NT_2022_10.gmap files, etc etc of a few MB. How can I get all ,NT and NTU files ,back in basecamp. ?Thanks

I always uninstall my old Garmin maps via windows uninstaller so unsure why you cannot, it does though depend on them being installed correctly via Express. Easiest solution for your old NT maps is to copy them to a removable drive, eg a USB stick, and BaseCamp will then read them from there.

The uninstallation starts, then there is a warning "user already present" or something like that. But where are the NT versions located? They are present in the Windows uninstaller. But I can't find them in the Maps folder. Yet I haven't touched these. Finally, why doesn't Basecamp see them anymore?

I would guess that was because you reinstalled Basecamp. That means that you got rid of all of the registry entries which tells Basecamp where to look for the files. Even if the maps are actually on the computer - Your new installation of Basecamp doesn't know where they are.
Your comment from Tech Support isn't correct. Maybe it has lost something in translation ? Perhaps he saying that it is not possible to install the maps to the computer from those that are on the Zumo. Certainly you can connect the Zumo by USB cable and Basecamp will read the maps from there, but it is very slow. The best solution is to do what you have succeeded in doing, which is to use Express to re-install the maps to Basecamp.
- When doing this - always use the default location that Basecamp offers for the maps - don't try to install them anywhere else. That is because Basecamp makes assumptions about the way that Windows locates files in any other location - assumptions which are no longer valid with more recent versions of windows. (I think that it was something to do with the old 'Append' command which allowed a program to search a different folder for files).

Have owned Zumo 550, 660 == Now have Zumo XT2, XT, 595, 590, Headache
Use Basecamp (mainly), MyRouteApp (sometimes), Competent with Tread for XT2, Can use Explore for XT - but it offers nothing that I want !
