Removing other people’s tracks from my route

Hi. I’m a new XR2 user. I was wondering if anyone could help me with a route problem? When I create a route, Garmin displays my route line (magenta-coloured line) but also displays other magenta-coloured lines that I believe are other people’s tracks (‘popular rides’?). This is really annoying as there are so many that I can’t tell the difference between my route and other people’s. Is there a way of preventing those other tracks being shown?

From the Map view tap on the stack icon on the right side 1/3 of the way up the screen (just below the arrowhead) then Tap the Popular Paths (Moto) legend so the text turns from blue to black. That should do it.

Thanks for the tip. I had the Popular Routes (Moto) turned off as you suggested but I still got a whole load of other people’s routes shown. That was the first route I’d created but it seems to be working ok now. Fingers crossed that it was just a glitch - either mine or the XT.
