Hi,
I just bought a Garmin Zumo 660 and a 660LM.
There is not suficient memory on both to download the complete Europe map.
So I inserted 32Gb SD card in both.
On these cards I downloaded the complete Europe map, renamed to gmapsupp.img on the SD and deleted de gmapprom.* on the device.
For the 660 this works fine.
It shows the basemap and the europe map in "map info".
However, as soon as I delete the gmapprom.* on my 660LM it stops looking for the gmapsupp on the SD.
So I can't delete the gmapprom on this device.
This gmapprom card is south-west europe.
So I have some doubling on my device.
When I change the complete europe map on SD for mid west europe (this card is bordering south-west), this card will not be loaded.
I must be doing something wrong allthough I can't find out what.
The SD cards are copies of eachother.
The internal memory's \Garmin\ folder seem to have the same files in them.
It all makes me wonder if there is some firmware difference between the two devices.
Can anyone advise me in this matter ?
Difference in firmware between 660 en 660LM

Oops, I found out what was wrong.
One SD card was Fat32, the other one NTFS. That last one didn't work the way I wanted.
So...I formatted to Fat32, copied the maps on it, deleted the gmapprom on the device and now it all works fine !
