Zumo XT Battery
Zumo XT Battery
Does anyone know where I can get a battery for my Zumo XT? Mine won’t hold a charge anymore.

I don't think they are intended to be replaceable but I know that some electronics repair facilities replace mobile phone batteries. You might try that. Please let us know if you find a solution.

Re: Zumo XT Battery
The problem might be with the jack on the XT. That is a known weak point. My XT was replaced under warranty due a failed jack. I could charge, but could only get a data connection by wiggling the cord until I found the sweep spot where it connected. It was obvious that there was a problem with the jack connections internally.

Re: Zumo XT Battery
I have never had a problem charging or with data so I don't think the jack is my issue.
I charged it up over night and now when I turned the unit on it loaded the start up "GARMIN" screen that has the progress bar on the bottom. It just keeps loading and reloading over and over all day. I can't shut it off or reset it or anything. I even took the battery out and reinstalled it and it keeps on loading. I'm going to let the battery run down and see what happens.

Try removing the SD card if one is inserted. I had this happen once - I pulled out the charge cable and the sd card, then it stopped. It was a one time thing.

Re: Zumo XT Battery
The XT will not charge when the screen is in use. By that I mean that it uses more power than it is getting from the charger. It has to be on charge with the screen off for a day.
Put it in the cradle and take it for a ride. It will charge up pretty quickly. Then you might find it behaving like before. Working well day after day with the USB cable plugged in - but the battery is slowly draining.
