Re: XT not flagging closed roads
I have been unaware of the detour function. Thank you for the details. Do you know whether it results in a recalculation of the remainder of the route?

Re: XT not flagging closed roads
That would depend on how you constructed the route and if waypoints etc could be included in the recalculation, but you can of course always view
the route by touching the map screen, then by touching the icon with the waypoint/destination flags on the curvy road (upper left, sort of)

Re: XT not flagging closed roads
I just sat outside at my picnic table to check out the Detour function. I could not get it to do anything. I started a route, selected an entry point that was many miles away from me then clicked Go. I then attempted a Detour of the next 2 miles. There are a number of roads that would get me from my picnic table to the route 2 miles away but the route was never changed on the XT map. I have added the Edit Route button to my map as a reminder to test it in a real ride scenario.

Re: XT not flagging closed roads
I will give the detour function a try next time I encounter a closed road.I suppose I must have forgotten about it in the heat of the moment of being confronted unexpectedly with a road closure. Doh!!
