The 550 did have an occasional bad habit of detaching from its mounting bracket but I bought a spring clip that stopped this can anyone advise if the 595 bracket needs a "precaution" to stop detaching from the holder and having to wave by by at speed?

I have many miles on my 595 it has not failed me and I'v hit potholes the size of the Grand Canyon at night when you can't see them and it keeps on ticking

My 590 attempted suicide at 120kmh along a main road that was reasonable condition. We had travelled quite some distance before it left the cradle so it was properly secured. I wasn't going to go back but did and snapped it back on.... Still working but cracks to casing ....screen fine.
The securing screw on my 550 was fiddly but it gave me confidence I no longer have in the 590 mount
