Latest XT2/Tread software version

I love it when companies provide detailed release notes so I know what bugs have been fixed and I can fully appreciate all the new "functionality".

Yes, I don't understand how Garmin doesn't have more resources for updates that are necessary. We have had the bug of the files that remain in the unorganized folder for 3 months. The device crashes and reboots. I don't know what they're waiting for.

I am having synchronization and connection problems between my mobile phone and the XT2. The phone's bluetooth connects and disconnects from the XT2 continuously. The synchronization also does not work smoothly.

Does anyone have these problems with the latest version of the Tread app?

My hope is over.
The synchronization process is erratic to say the least.
Three different content (track, route, wp) between XT2, Tread on smartphone and Explore on pc.

The only solution is to delete a collection with all the content and recreate it from scratch.

Garmin has great ideas but implemented with terrible software.

Totally agree. In this version (Version: 2.08.37) I have found the following bugs (I understand that they do not have any beta tester at Garmin):

- Michelin icons (POIs) have disappeared from the Tread App map. You only see the scenic roads in green now.
- Bluetooth connection between mobile and XT2 with many interruptions (if the Tread is activated).
- Bluetooth disconnections during calls if the Tread is syncing (from approximately the first minute of the call).

As I say, it is inexplicable to release such catastrophic updates. They should have already released an update that fixed some of this.

Update of Tread App Map. Looks like the Michelin Pois were gone because of a map update.

Now are available and visible again in the map.

New Tread app version (for Android):

I'm installing now and I will check if the bluetooth problems have been solved.

The Bluetooth connection is interrupted every 10 seconds making it impossible to sync collections quickly or listen to anything via Bluetooth. Does this only happen to me? or are there more Android users having this problem? When I uninstall tread app the connection between phone/XT2 is stable.

- UPDATE. IF YOU HAVE THIS PROBLEM, IT CAN BE SOLVED BY UNINSTALLING THE TREAD APP AND REINSTALLING THIS NEW VERSION.
It may be a problem with syncing many collections, since it only appears when a lot of material is synced. Sometimes reboots.

First look, news of this version:

- New intro when we install from 0.
- Offline map option and new map layers option.
- Faster collection sync with the XT2.
- XT2 screen notifications now working correctly.
- Larger font size of the application if we have large fonts on our smartphone.
- In my case de phone calls crash is not solved. If Tread app is syncing collections and I recieve a phone call, bluetooth conexion is broken.

I have done a fresh install of this new version. Today I got to my destination and then 3/4 of the way home it informed me I could connect to my phones music. Bit late.

Today I have done quite a few tests between different mobile phones and the XT2. I have also tried different headphones. The conclusion is that when headphones are not connected to the XT2 everything works well, the collections sync well, and the music plays well through the XT2 speaker.

As soon as I connect the Cardo Packtalk Bold, or a Sony bluetooth headset... the bluetooth connection is interrupted and blown up. The problem is in the Bluetooth connection with the headphones. ALways connecting Phone with XT2 and headset with XT2.

New update in 3 days for Android,

2.09.52 (2024-10-25), just 60Mb.

- In my case it does not solve the headset issue (bluetooth disconnections).
- Still moves via points if you change them to shaping points, sometimes by a large distance.
- ...

I will check today what's new.

Just run the 2.09.52 and it still moves via points if you change them to shaping points, sometimes by a large distance and which can then cause a big change in the route.
