Sorry to ask again but for some reason my original post is LOCKED and I cant post in it ...
My original question was:
"I hope somebody here can help with an issue.
I'm aware Garmin is stating that there will no longer be updates for this series but when I connected my Zumo to my MAC at the weekend Garmin Express stated that there were updates to install so I let it do it's business.
Well afterwards it appears to have updated the wrong map and I've now lost decent quality maps of (at least) the United Kingdom. It has also set the country to Turkey??? I've tried to change the country but the keyboard letters for the UK are not selectable!
I've checked the installed map and my Zumo now has the following map installed: 'CN Europe NTU 2025.20 ALL South'.
I'm guessing that for some reason it has installed the southern Europe map version instead of the north Europe version!
Does anyone have any idea how this can be rectified and the correct map installed?
If it's not possible through Express to install the correct maps then I believe that you can install other maps (e.g. OSM) to fulfill my requirements.
If that is the case then could somebody provide a link to some easy instructions that tell you how to do that please?
Thanks for any help, it will be much appreciated "

Thanks for the advice sussamb, but there is no option in my Garmin Express to install any other maps except the option they provide.
The only options are to "Reinstall map" or "Install Map to Computer"
Does you, or anybody else, have any other ideas?
Thanks

I've tried that but all it does is re-install the South Europe map and I still cannot change the country to the UK

Re: Zumo 340 LM Map Update issue 2
Weird???? I'd be tearing my hair out if I could!!!
I've got a working SD card installed, it's a 32GB with lots of room on it.
Garmin Express is up to date and running Version 7.18.0.0 on a MAC
I don't get any error messages at all, it's very annoying as I need it for a trip in a few weeks time.
Any ideas or do I need to try and source other maps from elsewhere, which I probably will need to do at some point seeing as my Zumo isn't supported anymore by Garmin.

Hard reset to factory defaults, with no SDcard.
If that lets you set locale in UK, try another SDcard, must be formatted as FAT32.
Last resort, OSM maps. Openmapchest.org is a good source.

Re: Zumo 340 LM Map Update issue 2
You could as suggested try a hard reset although that doesn't normally change the map. I'd definitely try a new sd card though. You could try manually deleteing the installed CN map then run Express again.
Your best bet though may be to try the cloning method explained here http://www.poi-factory.com/node/39231

Thanks very much for the assistance .... Cloning was the way to go!
Followed the instructions, re-inserted SD card and restarted and I've got my maps back
Really appreciate the guidance
