I'm sure there will be a very basic explanation (I hope) but here goes.
When my 660 is connected to my laptop, I can see in the Internal storage loads of waypoints and routes that are now totally irrelevant. When the unit is disconnected I cannot see them in Custom Routes or favourites. I would like to delete many of these routes as I do occasionally get a message saying that I don't have room for new routes. I've tried deleting on Basecamp without success. How can I access the internal storage in order to delete unwanted items?
I always transfer new routes from BC to the SD card in the 660. Thanks, Pete.
Unit Internal Storage
Re: Unit Internal Storage
Using Windows Explorer delete all the gpx files in the GPX folder of your device and card. Having done that any favourites remaining that you don't want need to be deleted using the nuvi menus.

my nuvi is the same.I cannot delete routes sent to the nuvi from basecamp using the menus on the nuvi.I have to go into the temp or current folder on the nuvi and delete the route (gpx file) from there using the laptop

In this thread -> I asked the same question about my 595. See page 2, 3rd & 4th posts. Exactly what I needed to clear out internal storage, hopefully for you too.
